Supporting Local Healthcare: $328,900 Committed to New REDHS Staff Housing
At their AGM in 2025, Rochester and Elmore District Health Service announced that we at Community Bank Elmore, Lockington and Rochester will be contributing $328,900 towards the installation of five new residential units at the hospital.
These units will provide essential accommodation for staff and students completing health training locally – a vital investment that strengthens the long-term sustainability of our district’s healthcare services.
This project is especially important for our region. Many rural and regional communities, including ours, often struggle to attract and retain healthcare professionals simply because accommodation is limited or difficult to secure. By providing purpose-built housing right on site, REDHS will be far better positioned to welcome new staff, support visiting specialists and encourage trainees to stay and build their careers locally.
This support has been made possible thanks to our amazing customers, and through the Community Enterprise Foundation – Bendigo Bank’s charitable arm. Together, we’re building a stronger, healthier future for our community.
We look forward to providing our community with further updates as this project comes along!
